Losing yourself in a book is one of life’s great joys. But after the last page, when the story’s done? Join one of our book clubs for reading’s other great joy: talking through that book with someone else. Remember, dear reader: you are never alone!

Your book club can borrow book club sets from any SMART library except Porirua. Select from over 500 titles by searching "book club set" in the online catalogue. To make this work, we've standardised some of the rules around book bags in this information sheet.

Meets online on the first Wednesday of each month 7-8 p.m
Join us for a warm, lively discussion of the latest in literary fiction, drawn from an exciting mix of prize-winners and fresh new voices. Library copies of each month’s book are available free of charge.

Meets in person on the last Wednesdays of each month from 10:00-11:30 a.m.
